I'm wicked proud of this weekend's postcard making. My friend
Mary's birthday was Monday so better late then never, I'm giving her this tomorrow at our Doll Club playgroup. The Wild Woman Brooch Idea is from
Purple Missus! Lynda picked up the idea from Sarah Lawrence of Crafty Notions . I knew when I saw wild women on Lynda's blog that I HAD to make one for Mary. Click the pic for an "in your face" view : )
This is a Post Card for a special FAF April Birthday Girl that I made tonight from the wild flower fabric I fused, painted, layered, burned and stitched.
I'll make a few more from this loud fun flower power fabric. I've finished my postcards for April and just need to get them into the mail!
Without the wild woman pin. You can see my first attempts at the "garlic" freemotioning. (The happy loopies growing off of each other)

Awesome! I love these cards. All that color is yummy. Nicely done!
The postcards are wonderful. Love that fabric!!
What cool postcards! Love that flower fabric. I've never heard of "garlic" freemotion but that's a apt description.
Elaine, your 'Wild Woman' is fabulous but you give me too much credit. I got the idea from an article in Stitch magazine by Sarah Lawrence of Crafty Notions - so all credit must go to her. They are such fun though aren't they?
Wow what great cards Elaine! Your wild woman card is a hoot. Great job!
They are wonderfull, especially the wild women card!
Great cards, Elaine and love the wild woman pin. How did you do her hair?
But can you actually mail that one without getting it damaged? They are beautiful.
Thanks Ya'll! I had fun making it and it's kinda loud and happy. Micki, the hair was left over burned off pieces of organza that I tacked on. Candy, I gave it to her in person so no need to mail. But, I would have put it all in envelope to mail them.
Great Postcards!
Ah yes I see. I never thought of an envelope. But there, you see, sometimes I am an idiot. Thanks.
Thanks for your comments on my blog, not least because it leads me to your blog - full of wonderful ideas and I especially love this postcard!
Glad you are enjoying. I made two of those damn cakes and they only ate about half of one. I am sure a few pounds are on me cuz I was not going to waste it. I finished the last piece today. That cake is going to be my all time favorite.
i can't keep up with you! you make more beautiful stuff faster than i can check blogs! i love the postcards. the ladies that get 'em are lucky duckies!!!
Love your wild woman card! I have one of purple missus's wild woman pins that she traded with me for... Love it and have fun when I wear it! Also your other flower postcards are so awesome! Love the bright, bold colors!
